We are a small group personal training gym in Harpenden. At Collective our mission is to improve your physical and mental health through fun, friendly training. With our meticulous coaching and a community like no other we aim to make fitness accessible for all. Wether your goal is to keep up with the kids or to just have a break from hours at the office our small group personal training has you covered.
Small Group Personal Training
Training in small groups of up to 4, we believe small group personal training is the perfect balance of training alongside others for great support and motivation, whilst still accommodating for a personal experience to hit your individual goals.
We create an atmosphere which is exceptionally relaxed, encouraging and friendly, and because our trainers are highly skilled and experienced, we guarantee that we will be able to adapt the sessions to every participant’s individual needs – whatever the level of fitness – so that everyone is challenged to a level which is just right for them. With over 35 group sessions a week to choose from why not come down and give it a try!

How many people are usually in a group training session?We have the capacity for up to eight participants per session.

What do i need to wear?Just your normal exercise clothing, anything you feel comfortable in and have a full range of movement.

Is group personal training suitable for beginners?Yes, our group training is suitable for all fitness and experience levels. Throughout every class the coach will adjust exercises and offer regressions or progressions to make the workout easier or harder to suit your specific ability.

Is group personal training suitable for all age groups?Yes, if you are under 16 you will have to be accompanied by an adult. We have no maximum age limit, if you are able to get up and down from the ground unassisted the classes can easily be adjusted to accommodate you.

Can i attened if i have an existing injury?This depends on the severity of the injury, but prior to arriving for your first class you will complete a Health Questionnaire on our Collective app to highlight any existing injuries or medical conditions. This will be reviewed by your coach and if necessary they may recommend a 1 on 1 workout instead, if the instructor is happy for you to attend they will adjust the workout to accommodate you.

Can i attend if i am pregnant?Yes, all of our classes our suitable for pregnancy. Our coaches are fully pre and post natal trained so throughout every class the coach will adjust exercises and offer regressions or progressions to make the workout easier or harder to suit your pregnancy.
